My February month of self-love plans may have changed a wee bit. It was supposed to be Fit February, and it still kind of is? I just, can’t actually exercise very much because I pulled my back! It’s very frustrating. Even more frustrating when you think you’re healed, then go hammer out some heavy squats
So excited January is coming to an end! And even more excited I’m feeling 100% better than when this month started. I mean I blame Strep throat for feeling crappy in the beginning but regardless, I am thinking 2017 is going to be a very promising year.
January’s #yearofselflove was ensuring I fuel myself with nutrient
Ahh simplicity. One of my 2017 intentions, to live simple. Since I’m living the cleansing life, I find myself spending more time at home cooking and cleaning. Probably subconsciously preparing myself for housewife material since I’m 28 and married to my cat.
But seriously, it feels SO good to clean. Declutter. Remove. Throw away. See
One week of 2017 in the books and my #yearofselflove has already been making an impact in my life!
If you’ve read my first post you’ll know that my January #yearofselflove monthly practice consists of eating nourishing foods. And that doesn’t mean everything I eat needs to contain X amount of antioxidants or X amounts
Guys, my birthday is this month! Actually it’s this week. I thought I would hate getting older as I near 30, but I actually have never been more excited in my life! Okay lies, I’m pretty much this excited every time I have a few spare hours to watch The Office and hang with Marlow
So guys, I did a juice cleanse. Actually I did a juice and bone broth cleanse. BIG difference.
First off, my diet has always been geared towards higher fat, lower carbohydrate. It just has, it’s how I roll. Do I love carbs? Obviously. But I would rather fuel myself with rich, nutrient dense healthy fats
What is this bone broth talk? I get asked this all. The. Time.
“Kel, what’s the deal with bone broth?” “Why are you drinking that stuff?” “Ew you drink that for fun?”
If you think this whole “witches brew” thing is just a fad, well then, you’re probably right… But that doesn’t mean it isn’t good
Ah change, you love it, or you hate it.
Especially when that change includes your job, home, relationships, lifestyle, or diet. We cling to what we know, & we cling to our habits. Studies suggest it takes 21 days to develop or change a habit, but I’ve also heard it could take up to 66 days!
So obviously I had to write a blog post about yam toasts. It’s all the rave these days, and I’m not wasting anytime hopping on the trend train. The foodie in me couldn’t wait to start the hashtag fun! I mean, first it was avocado toast, or #avotoast if you will, and now
What a beautiful time of year! The leaves are changing, scarves and boots come out of your closet, and autumn flavours are out in full swing. Apple cinnamon muffins, peach cobblers, or pumpkin spice anything has my name all over it. Even though summer is over, everyone starts soaking up the holiday cheer starting with Thanksgiving,
